Abstract

The seat numbering system enhances comfort, orderliness, and safety; however, on the Sukabumi–Cianjur route, it still faces challenges in supervision and compliance. Conversely, the non-numbered system provides flexibility but often leads to crowding and discomfort. This study employs the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to examine the extent of user acceptance toward both ticketing systems. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to passengers aged 18–22 years. The results indicate that the seat numbering system is more widely accepted as it improves orderliness and comfort, although further improvements in supervision and public awareness are needed. The findings show that the variables of Comfort, Orderliness, and Ease of Use significantly influence Passenger Satisfaction, while Safety has no direct effect. Among these factors, Ease of Use has the strongest influence on Satisfaction, meaning that the easier the system is to use, the higher the level of passenger satisfaction.
