Abstrak

Aset infrastruktur perkeretaapian merupakan komponen utama dalam sistem transportasi perkeretaapian. Manajemen aset yang optimal sangat penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas sistem perkeretaapian, serta membantu mencegah biaya yang tidak perlu dalam siklus hidup aset. Metode Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) dan Life Cycle Cost (LCC) dapat digunakan dalam mengelola aset infrastruktur perkeretaapian. RAMS adalah metode yang digunakan untuk menilai kinerja sistem dengan kompleksitas tinggi seperti sistem infrastruktur perkeretaapian. Sebaliknya, LCC digunakan untuk mengevaluasi biaya keseluruhan sistem atau aset selama siklus hidup. Mengintegrasikan konsep RAMS dan LCC dapat membantu merencanakan desain, operasi, dan pemeliharaan jalur kereta api. Integrasi ini sangat fleksibel karena dapat dilakukan mulai dari tahap desain, operasi, dan pemeliharaan siklus hidup. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan integrasi RAMS dan LCC dapat menghasilkan keputusan strategis yang lebih baik pada siklus hidup perkeretaapian. Dalam memilih aset untuk mendukung desain dan pemeliharaan, misalnya, ada dua alternatif jalur ganda kereta api berkecepatan tinggi yaitu jalur dengan balas dan tanpa balas, dengan hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa jalur tanpa balas memiliki kinerja RAMS yang lebih tinggi dan biaya pemeliharaan yang lebih rendah tetapi biaya konstruksi yang lebih tinggi, sehingga solusi jalur dengan balas lebih dipilih untuk konstruksi jangka pendek dan jalur tanpa balas lebih dipilih untuk jangka panjang
